Viridian
to Collaborate with INREB Faraday Partnership
August 26th
2004, Cambridge, UK. Viridian announces that it is to take a role as
an industrial partner within the INREB Faraday Partnership (Integration
of New and Renewable Energy in Buildings) . The focus of the collaboration
is on activities to help overcome barriers to the mainstream adoption
of solar heating systems for buildings.
Paul Evans, Director of INREB commented: "
INREB welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with innovative companies
such as Viridian to understand and overcome the barriers to the adoption
of new technology integration in buildings".
The INREB Faraday Partnership was launched in
November 2001 to create a national focus for industry projects, technology
transfer and research projects on the integration of new and renewable
energy in buildings. Led by BRE, and in partnership with the four world
class academic research groups at De Montfort, Loughborough, Nottingham
and Ulster, it works with industry, organisations, and government to
accelerate and exploit the business opportunities afforded by new and
renewable energy. The Partnership provides a national hub for the many
businesses and stakeholders concerned, and enables a common approach
to ensure the successful integration of new and renewable energy technologies
into buildings thus significantly strengthening UK industry in this
increasingly important sector.
